    Hallo Queensland

    March 2, 2019 in Australia ⋅ ⛅ 26 °C

    Surfers Paradise

    November 20, 2019 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 27 °C

Read more

    Week 3

    January 24, 2020 in Australia ⋅ ⛅ 30 °C

    Hi loves ♥️
Week 3 is already over! To be honest we started this week a little tired and exhausted. The partynights and adventurous days in Byron Bay left their traces. Also we were a bit disappointed about our english progress. Our teacher is really strict in grammar but he‘s not really interested in our speaking skills. We are more than thankful for our Swissfriends but they don‘t really maintain our progress.
As the most of you know, we were searching for bicycle the last three weeks and now we finally found them! 🙌🏽
On thursday, tobias a schoolmate from switzerland which lives with his aussie-girlfriend, invited us to a home party! It was a really funny evening! And good for us we where forced to speak english the whole night! Even though, we partied till late, on friday we were ready for our kayaking and surf lesson 🏄🏽‍♀ .
We started with the kayaking and saddly it was really boring... therefore, the surf lesson was so much fun! Everyone remembers how fendi said that she’ll never surf? Well, she did it and even if we got a lot of bruises i think it wasn’t the last time for us🏄🏽‍♀.

The quiet week was followed by a adventurous weekendtrip, read more about it in our next post...

    Love and miss you
    xoxo Fendi & Meret ♥️

    Week 7

    February 21, 2020 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 27 °C

    Hello 😘❤️
We can‘t believe how fast time runs! Only three weeks left until we have our final exam and only TWO until our speaking test! We are a little worried about how the test will go... We think we need to put some effort in it if we want to pass.
This week we mainly enjoyed the sun, as it was the only week we had good weather. ☀️ 🏝
On Tuesday we spend the evening studying according to the mock exam on wednesday, which both of us failed... Most of our classmate failed too and Bryan, our teacher, told us that the exam was a quit difficult one. So wish us luck that the real exam will not be as difficult as this one.
On Thursday morning we set our alarm at 03:45 owing to see the sunraise at the beach. Despite some clouds ☁️ it was stunning! In the evening we decided to try our luck at the casino instead of going out. We had a lot of fun even if we did not win. 🙈 💰

    We love and miss you
    xoxo Fendi & Meret

    Week 9

    March 6, 2020 in Australia ⋅ ⛅ 29 °C

    Hi Loves
Our second last week in school is over!
On Monday we enjoyed our afternoon at the beach as the weather was beautiful. After that we studied for the mockexam we had on Tuesday.
After the test, which was quite hard, we went to the travel agency to collect all the confirmation-papers. Now we are ready and cannot wait to start our travels! 🚍✈️After that we went to the Q1-Skypoint. This is a viewing platform at the 37th floor of a skyscraper. ☁ Afterwards we treated us with a delicious Persian dinner.
On wednesday we spend a relaxed evening at sara‘s place. Mary, one of our classmates from spain, turnt 37 and we spent some time with her. 🎂
The next day we had to buy some stuff to complete our Ultrafestival outfit💃🏽
Arrived home we had interesting discussions about everything that came through our mind to prepare us for our final speaking test.
Now it‘s friday evening and we are sitting in the bus to the airport to catch our flight to sydney. ✈️
The speaking exam is over and we are happy that we are done with the first test!
Stay tuned for our blog about the weekend, it will for sure be a lot to tell about! ☺ 🥳

All the best! We miss you!
    xoxo Fendi & Meret ❤

    Week 5

    February 6, 2020 in Australia ⋅ 🌧 22 °C

    Hi loves ♥️

We made it through the fith week and we already reached the middle of our time at Langports. Time flies so fast!😩
Eventhough we had our first mock test at school which has putt us in anxiety (especially Fendi 😂) we had a quite relaxing week.
On monday we went right to the beach after school as we wanted to enjoy the last sunny day. Döme and Elio showed us how to play rugby 🏉 they had a lot of patience... as you can see we were not really good at it but at least we tried 🙆🏽‍♀👀😂 Meret also tested her surfing skills, meanwhile Nico nearly died as you can see in the video. 🏄🏽‍♀
The mock test was on Wednesday and was better than expected maybe because we studied the whole Tuesday. After the test we rewarded us and went to the cinema to see „bad boys for life“ which we highly recommend! 🙌🏾
On Thursday we went clubbing as always 😂🥳

    Love and miss you!
    xoxo Meret&Fendi ♥️

    Week 6

    February 13, 2020 in Australia ⋅ 🌧 25 °C

    Hello ❤️
One more week is over, we still can‘t believe that time flies by so fast! ⏰
Last week was another rainy one. So we did not do to much on monday. On Tuesday we went out, as usual. On Wednesday Sara invited us to her place! It was raining cats and dogs but we decided not to let the rain control us and did a barbecue and enjoyed the whirlpool. 🏊‍♀️ Everything was totally wet and we had to go home in our bikini 👙 but we still had a lot of fun!

    Love and miss you!

    Sushi, Timezone and Starbucks

    February 22, 2020 in Australia ⋅ ⛅ 26 °C

Drove into Surfers Paradise and had lunch at Sushi Train. Sam was not a fan. Daz and Jem had twice as many plates as the rest of us put together. All the kids were then keen for Timezone while the adults chilled at Starbucks.Read more

    Bisschen was nachholen

    March 1, 2020 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 30 °C

    Also gut:

Day 31/72: A day on the Gold Coast

    November 27, 2018 in Australia ⋅ ☁️ 23 °C

Today we went down to the Gold Coast for the day, an area known for its extremely long beach and surfing. We didn't know exactly what we were going to do there, but got the train (equipped with questionable savoury muffins) there to have a look around.

The journey took just over an hour, and from the train we took a tram which went down the coast, about 1km from the beach front. We got off early and walked to the beach. It wasn't something we'd seen before. Dotted along the coastline, right on the beach front, were areas that looked like major cities, with skyscrapers, but were really the size of large towns! It was quite odd, walking along the soft sand, watching the waves crashing and being disturbed by the wind, and then looking right and looming above you a 70 story building. It's always nice to be back on a beach, and we wandered along the sand towards the city. The sea was relatively choppy and the weather cool, so there were very few people surfing but we could see how the beach would be ideal for it.

There were areas of swimmers, so after a while we put down our stuff and jumped in. The waves, however choppy for surfers, were great for swimming and diving around in, and we spent a good while body surfing and diving through the waves.

After we'd got cold and hungry, we got out and the sun came out to dry us off, we sat and read our books for ages, until about 3 when we went to a beach front cafe to have burgers and iced tea/coffee. The burgers were fab and suitably full we went back to the beach to do some more reading. The sun began to drop behind the buildings so we gathered our stuff and as we walked back up the beach towards the tram, we had a mini photo shoot in the light between the gaps in the skyscrapers.

We got the train back to Brisbane and as we were heading back to the hostel, decided we needed something small to get us through to breakfast, so stopped at a churros cafe we'd seen the day before and had, well, churros. They were very good with the dark and white chocolate dipping sauces and we sat on the street, reading and watching the world go by. We ended up staying there, getting more iced teas, for a good hour and a half and left only when they were closing up the cafe!
A very relaxed day overall, our last full day in Australia! The time has flown by and it seems so odd that we're going onto NZ already! We've had a fantastic time in Australia though, and before the flight tomorrow we're going to do some more wandering, and look around Brisbane for the morning/lunch.
