    Lake Boga

    March 23, 2019 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 31 °C

Camped on GRASS, not dirt for a change. Right beside the lake, a gorgeous cool breeze coming in the van. So tonight we both should be able to sleep in some cool. 35 degrees, here today but some rain on the way that should cool things down. ( I hope). LolRead more

    Swan Hill

    November 1, 2017 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 19 °C

With the forecast promising wam, sunny weather we decided to head somewhere that offered plenty of options for outdoor activities - Riverside Park at Swan Hill had all the usual Big 4-style kids entertainment but also had riverside sites so it sounded like the ideal spot. We left Mildura and drove, in the sunshine, for a brief trip into NSW and then back across the river to Victoria. A relatively short day's drive meant we arrived at lunchtime and could spend the rest of the day relaxing at our spot on the river, chairs and fishing rods set up at the back of our site overlooking the Murray.
The sunshine arrived, but it wasn't exactly warm but that didn't stop the kids trying out the pool (at least it meant they had it to themselves!) and they spent the rest of Wednesday riding their bikes around the park, bouncing on the jumping pillow and hanging out in the games room. In between times they joined us back at the camp site for more fishing (and yabby and shrimp catching with the nets). Despite all the time spent with rods in the water, a carp was the only catch! Each afternoon, a local paddlesteamer would cruise past on its hour long tour of the river. We didn't do anything "touristy" while we were in town - whilst there looked like there was plenty on offer we figured this was one place close enough to home that we could come back to visit again another time.

    Boundary bend

    February 24, 2019 in Australia ⋅ 🌬 29 °C

Pulled up at a place called Boundary bend. A once upon time town but once again a lovely spot on the Murray. No time for fishing have to be in Mildura tomorrow for a hair cut so will have to come back another day. We will enjoy a beautiful evening here with the temperature in the late 20s.Read more

    Pioneer Settlement - Swan Hill

    October 26, 2017 in Australia ⋅ ☁️ 15 °C

Gesagt, getan! We are back on the road!

    Arahura farm

    March 22, 2019 in Australia

    Nyah caravane park

    February 22, 2019 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 25 °C

    Chilli, eggplant and peach Farm

    February 24, 2019 in Australia

    Day 26

    July 29, 2019 in Australia ⋅ 🌧 11 °C

Early start this morning after a super quiet night, on the road at 7:15 back on the dirt for a bit and then into the Menindee town ship, more dirt for about 60 kms before we are finally back on the black top for good just north of Pooncarie. Started to get some light rain as we finished airing up the tyres and it continued into Mildura, stopped on the side of the road just out of town for a cuppa, took the Sturt highway to Robinvale then onto the Murray Valley Highway as the rain got going, rained well all the way and we found a spot just north of Tooleybuc to have lunch, back on the road and the rain stopped just as we arrived at Swan Hill our stop for the night at the river side caravan park. Setup the van and then went for a drive around town and a walk along the Main Street, pretty much your large country town similar to home with all the things you need.
Weather has turned only 14 degrees back to Victoria and reality, will be no drinks outside tonight got the heater on in the van adjusting to the change, nice to see the rain here and the crops look good that we went past, cottage pie for dinner and a few drinks 👍
