    Second day of the Classics

    November 6, 2017 in Bermuda ⋅ 🌙 21 °C

The All Blacks showed the USA Eagles off in a 31-13 victory before our game against the Azzurri.

The Italians had us against the ropes within the first 20 minutes after we conceded 2 tries against the run of play, one intercept try and a penalty try.

From that point it was a fight back to end up a few short at the final whistle at 31-17.

The best part of the night was to meet the newest little addition to the Snyman’s. Little Karlie tried to skip the photo session with some tears 😢.

    First day of the Classics

    November 5, 2017 in Bermuda ⋅ 🌙 22 °C

Familiar but strange to be back in Bermuda 🇧🇲.

Really nice to get to see everyone from the police club at the police tent to get the week off to a flyer.

The first game between the Pumas and Canada was a convincing victory by the Pumas over Canada 57-5, they instantly looked like the team to beat this year. Followed by a grind out 10-7 win by the French over the British and Irish lions.

    Final day of the Classics

    November 12, 2017 in Bermuda ⋅ ⛅ 20 °C

Allan Martin saw his Classic Lions side overwhelm South Africa 33-5 to win the World Rugby Classic Plate Final.

The Lions were dominant from the outset and almost conceded very early after a break from Sean Lamont, but it was not long before Carter received quick ball impressively in the wind and rain down the left, dummied a pass to the left wing and touched down easily.

Gareth King then made a great break and Carter, the former Wales Sevens full back, scored what was almost a carbon copy of his first try, but managed to touch down under the posts this time and Ceri Sweeney, the fly half who won 35 caps for Wales, converted.

Carter would complete his hat-trick in the second half, going in down the right corner this time.

The Classic Pumas delivered a typically physical performance full of pride and passion last night to overcome a strong New Zealand outfit 15-5 and record their first World Rugby Classic title since 2011.
