Broome to the Cape & back.

    June 22, 2021 in Australia ⋅ ⛅ 22 °C

Here we are back in Broome after enjoying a few days & nights up at Cape Leveque approx 2.5 hrs north of Broome, all native title land with a few campgrounds & eco resorts around to view the spectacular beaches, landscapes & visit a pearl farm for something different. Had fantastic weather & a great time.

Had 5 days here in Broome and without being too harsh I believe it is a tad over rated to tell the truth. Superb sunsets & Cable Beach but apart from that there wasn't too much more. Those that have been here might see otherwise but I wouldn't be rushing back. Quite expensive as well. All 5 caravan parks are full & they are talking about allowing vans to stay overnight at the Surf Club & Footy Ground car parks to alleviate the crush.

A strange thing happened last night, it rained! First time we have seen & heard rain for nearly 2 months since we left in late April. Tad cooler today.
Leave here on Thurs to head south, firstly along the coast then inland to Tom Price & then back to the coast. Car has been serviced & washed. Time to restock supplies & plan the next stage of the adventure.
