Golden Days

Hey there, here we are in gold capital of WA, Kalgoorlie., home of the Super Pit.
We decided to continue our journey down through the middle of WA as the coast was just so busy with school holidays & nomads from all over Oz that finding parks to stay was near impossible.& very expensive.
The trip from Tom Price down through Newman, Meekathara & onto Kalgoorlie was cold at times but very interesting. We never expected so much gold mining activity both large & small on top of the iron ore mining further north
The people you meet in some of the historic small towns that are barely surviving if it wasn't for tourists & prospectors with their metal detectors in search of the precious nugget or slither. Some have been coming for 15 years.
Anyway, we are on our way home & looking forward to crossing the Nullabor in the coming week.
