A little bit of Rio tourismApril 7, 2018 in Brazil ⋅ ⛅ 24 °C
My first day in Brazil's most famous city had been very quite: after spent the night on the road and due to the fact that Felipe only arrived in the evening and his mother, with whom we are staying, wouldn't let me do much by myself, I only slept and went to the beach.
On the contrary, today was loaded with activity. We tried to go up to Cristo Redentor, but since the sky was rather cloudy and we wouldn't have seen a lot from up there, we decided otherwise. Instead we walked around the botanical garden and had lunch at a famous (and really good) restaurant in Santa Teresa, called Aprazível. After that, we explored this bohemian neighborhood and some of its viewpoints. For the ultimate sunset experience we climbed onto some rocks at Praia do Arpoador, at the end of Ipanema. We also met with Jéssica, a friend from my exchange year in Mexico.
We only had time for a quick shower and dinner with Felipe's mum before we had to leave for a birthday party (at this point a already 3h too late).Read more
