The next day we were really lucky with the weather and could see Peyto and Bow Lake in their best shape! 😊 We drove further along the Icefield Parkway until we arrived at the glaciers. They are just massiv and we could reach the bottom of Athabasca Glacier. It was sad to see the marks of the foreign ends of the glacier. It has been melting a lot in the past 50 years.
We spent the night on the highest campground along the road (approx. 2000m) and it was just above 0°C again.
The next day we hiked up to Wilcox Pass and had an amazing view over the glaciers and the snow covered mountains.Read more
