    Drove back to Werribee South and booked into caravan Park. Very cold and windy day, stayed in the carvan all afternoon. Britz 4WD campervan moved in next door. They had a roof top tent and had a lot of trouble trying to set it up in the wind.Read more

    Ballarat

    Day 1: Drove to Ballarat and booked into the Big 4 Caravan Park, went to Ryans IGA supermarket to top up food supplies.

    Day 2: Went to Mills Market , very cold day

    Day 3: Went into town centre and visited the info Centre. Went to Dan Murphy's and Big W.

    Day 4: Drove out to Daylesford and at the Mill Markets bought two plates. Bought some Fowlers 350ml sauce bottles. On the way back took some photos of Fraser Farming.

    Day 5: Went to BCF and bought a 45 L Fridge/Freezer. Had Dinner at Sovereign Hill and then saw the new Sound and Light Show. 'Aura'

    Day 6: Went out to shopping centre near BCF. had a look at some antique shops. Bought some GF frozen meals for car fridge to take home.

    Day 7: Had a look around some other shops in town and went to Pancake Cafe for lunch. Got some more GF meals to fill car fridge up.    Read more

    Werribee South

    Day 1 : Went into City and went to Essondon and had a look at the TAA museum. Huge collection but not displayed very well. Had lunch and the went out to Nova and picked up van, all work completed including new door lock. Went to May West to see if they would offer us a good deal. Change over on a new van was $35,000. We decided that it was too dear. Drove to Werribee South and set up van.

    Day 2: Went back to May West but best they could offer was was to pay a deposit now for a new 2020 model to be built when and if we sold ours back in Tassie.    Read more

    Rockbank

    Day 1: Booked into a cabin at Rockbank Caravan Park. Our van is booked into Nova in the morning to get a lek around window repaired. Moved food etc from van into cabin.

    Day 2: Took van out to Nova at Campbellfield. Steve Mountney from Nova will arrange repairs. Went back to Milton Shopping centre before returning to Park.

    Day 3: Drove into DFO at South Wharf Melb. Bought a Lady at the Royal Doulton outlet.

    Day 4: Rang Nova van should be ready tomorrow. Went to Cinema at Milton and saw film 'Ride like a Girl'.    Read more

    Glenrowan

    Day 1: Only 55 Km drive to Glenrowan. After coffee in local cafe set up our van at the local caravan park. Went into Wangaratta for a look and then came back to Glenrowan. Gift shops all had Ned Kelly type souvenirs

    Day 2: After coffee in local bakery drove to Benalla and had a look at the Antique Fair. We then headed North to visit Silao art at Goorambat, Devenish, St James, Tungamah and the CFA Water Tank at Winton Wetlands.    Read more

    Beechworth

    Day 1: Only a short hop of 56 Km to Beechworth. Had coffee at the Beechworth Bakery. After lunch went back into town and had a look around shops. Sent a telegram to Jovi. Was sent by telegraph to Melbourne and the by post.

    Day 2: Drove out to Myrtleford and Bright, had lunch at Beechworth Bakery at Bright.. Returned to Beechworth had a look at the Gold museum and then walked around the old cemetery were the Chinese smoke funnels are.    Read more

    Albury

     October 6, 2019 in Australia ⋅ ⛅ 15 °C

    Day 1: Drove to Albury and booked into small caravan park on Northern side of Albury.
    Walked up to shopping centre and restocked fridge etc.

    Day 2: After lunch drove out to Tallangatta. Spoke to Photographer re photo of old Tallangatta. Drove out to Old Tallangatta view point and truckie told us of were you can see the old Railway trestle Bridge. Found the site and after photographing the bridge returned to cemetery and had a look around.

    Day 3: After breakfast went over to the Wodonga Family History Library, lady on duty did not know much. Returned to Library after lunch and Judy bought the Tallangatta Cemetery CD. Went back to Caravan Park, Judy did washing, rained in the afternoon.    Read more

    Yass Day 2 and 3

     October 3, 2019 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 24 °C

    Day 2: After moving van to new site we down the street to a local bakery that bakes only GF on a Thursday. Judy was able to buy some GF bread etc. After Lunch we drove into Canberra and visited the War Memorial, was very crowded. Judy was able to find a bit more information on Fred Huxley.

    Day 3: Once again started the day by moving van onto a new site. After lunch we went back into Canberra and met up with Ann and Allan Smith. Chatted for a while and Allan took us into Floriade. We walked around displays featuring lots of tulips. Inour opinion Toowoomba festival was better. Went back to Anne's for a while before returning to Yass    Read more
