Finishing off the shopping walk we spend the afternoon at the pretty and long Beach of Kuta where we first went into the almost boiling warm water of the ocean for some playing with the waves.

    Uluwatu temple

    April 18, 2017 in Indonesia ⋅ ☀️ 30 °C

Getting lucky with timing we got to meet two friends we met back in New Zealand now on Bali. They went first to Singapore, where we are going to go next, but came to Bali just the day before we flew out.

And so we decided to go together to one of the most southern spots on the island, the very crowded Uluwatu temple.

Unfortunately we got on the way into a police control which tried to rib us off with some rediculous fee for not having an international driver license or a Bali tourist license with us.

But after some discussing, we told them that we didn't have enough money with us to pay the (converted) 28 Euro per driver and we would have to go to the next ATM.

They did let us go without keeping anything an so we just drove through little side streets to the Temple out and back. Worked pretty well!

    Great spot!
