Sick with regrets now?September 14, 2015 in France ⋅ ⛅ 17 °C
Ok. Yeah. It wasn't smart to jump in puddles. In Converse. And stay in them until we came home. Well...I'm sick now.... 😤😥

Wednesdays are Half-days in France. Students in every school have freetime after lunch (this is what Coumba explained). We wanted to use the time and went to Madame Tussauds... but because off 'Circumstances' we weren't able to go inside. Instead she showed me a shop for tiny dollhouse supplies.
Afterwards we took a Bato-bus. It's not a bus but a ferry on the Seine. We ended up near the Louvre and went home by bus- a real bus.Read more
It was overwhelming!
We walked to Sacré-Cœur and I still know how giddy I felt (not bad). All the people, colourful awnings, little stores, cafés - the life. We came back at 'home' for lunch, afterwards, her whole family came with us and we walked down to the Seine. On our way we saw Lafayette, l'Opera and some little squares.
Between 'le Louvre' and Notre-Dame her parents bought us ice cream. In the evening we went back by train.Read more
After two hours I landed at Charles-de-Gaulle-Airport. My host sister Coumba (she stayed 6 weeks in Berlin the summer before) was there together with her father to pick me up. Her family -and I for the next 5 weeks- is living in 9th arrondisement in a big flat near Sacré-Cœur. I met her Mother, grandmother, little brother (9) and sister (4) when we get there.Read more
