    Day 4a. Crailsheim.

    August 8, 2019 in Germany ⋅ ⛅ 20 °C

    Day 4. Gerabronn.
Mucki & Wolfgang drove us to Gerabronn to visit Cousin Erika Günther in the Senioren Home. She has not been well and is taking respite for 4 weeks.
In the evening Mucki organised a Familien Feier in Ellrichshausen at the Familie Wagner Estate. Herr Wagner’s old timer car and motorbike collection is magnificent. We had Wurst Salat, Wiener Wurst, fabulous rye and country loaf breads, Leberwurst, cheeses and of course beer. It was great to see so many relatives again, 33 were able to attend. Ron and I were overjoyed at the response especially for a Thursday night.Read more

    Day 4. Ellwangen to Crailsheim.

    August 8, 2019 in Germany ⋅ ⛅ 19 °C

Day 4. Ellwangen to Crailsheim in Baden-Württemberg.
After breakfast Otto drive us to Mucki and Wolfgang’s house in Crailsheim.
Mucki made Roladen, Spaetzle, Semmel Knödel and Salad for lunch. Devine.
Ron and I walked into the city and bought German childrens books, CDs, DVDs and flash cards for teaching the grandchildren German. We packed them at the post office and sent them home. 4kg cost 64 Euro and will arrive in 11 days.
It is almost Volksfest and Oktoberfest season so the latest national dresses were being displayed. We bought a dirndl and head dress and Lederhosen and shirt to share with the adults in the family. Hopefully we don’t all want to wear them at the same time!

    Crailsheim

    December 20, 2016 in Germany ⋅ ⛅ 0 °C

Read more
