Stuttgart-Ost

Yah! Everyone got to stay up super late tonight for a visit to the Stuttgart Observatory! Even though all of the official chit-chat was in German, we still got to see the craters of the nearly full moon up-close, plus Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and a faraway universe (Alpha Centauri, if memory serves) in the telescopes and some amazing blazing fiery streaks from the Perseid meteor shower. Definitely worth getting away from the light pollution of the city to witness the celestial show of the year.Read more
