Day 5. Crailsheim, Vellberg, Schwäbisch Hall, Gschlachtenbretzingen.
Mucki and Wolfgang drove us to Vellberg and Schwäbisch Hall.
Vellberg is a beautiful town in the district of Schwäbisch Hall, in Baden-Württemberg, population 4,400. It is located 10 km east of Schwäbisch Hall, and 15 km southwest of Crailsheim.

Vellberg tour with Mucki & Wolfgang Kohr.
We walked around part of the city wall and under it in the underground tunnels. From the wall we could view Comburg. Grosscomburg was founded as a Benedictine monastery in 1078 on the site of a castle. In the 12th century it experienced its first golden age, under Abbot Hartwig.
This city is stunning. We viewed the upper and lower Schloss Vellberg, many Fachwerk houses, walked along the old city wall and in the underground tunnels.Read more
