Early wake up this morning for sunrise!

📍 Rode the quad to a high viewpoint to watch the sunrise 🌅 This was the most clear view of the whole island, super pretty

📍 Headed to Thira to check it out. We walked the whole way through the town, checking out the bell tower and church. The streets were super dirty from the night before, as it was so early they hadn’t been cleaned yet. It was nice and the views were pretty but definitely didn’t wow us!

📍 Back to the air bnb to pack our bags before heading back to the Grand View Hotel. We were able to enjoy the pool for a few hours before they drove us to the port. Jacques dropped off the quad and brought back some last treats from the family bakery including loukamades which were the best things I’ve ever tasted 😂

Thira port was mayhem once again! Seriously so many people and absolutely hectic. We managed to find a spot in the shade while we waited to board the ferry. It took 4 hours to get to Paros, had a little nap on the way 🤣

📍 Finally arrived in Paros at 7pm, instantly we felt how much more relaxed is was compared to Santorini. Our driver was a local and told us about how this year is less hectic than last with the tourists. He said tourism is the main industry here and that everyone works crazy hours during summer as after that there’s not many ways to earn money. Our air bnb is in Naoussa, a relaxed town in the north part of the island. We are in a great location, 3 minute walk to the beach and 7 minutes into Naoussa town. Really excited about this as we were quite far away from everything in Santorini!

Jacques went to buy water from the shops and couldn’t help himself on the way home, treating it to a pork gyros from a place called Paliomylos, 2 minute walk from the air bnb. I tried it and we both agreed best gyros we’ve had this whole trip! Sooo yumRead more
