After Christmas Day relaxing at sea, and a lovely christmas lunch, we ported in Roatan, Honduras. Sun blazing, we headed off the ship into the duty free village that really could have been anywhere in the world (and wasn't that cheap). We walked down to the local beach for a happy morning bobbing around in the sea with our new dry bag and fabulous views (although in truth the shoreline looked rather like Newquay - full of bright red Brits and Americans, drinking, shouting and getting redder). We returned to the ship after an hour, not wanting to burn, and took advantage of the nearly empty indoor pool for lunch.Read more

Hahaha, our ship got cut off by a Royal Caribbean at the dock. Had a good breakfast and meet our tour at the end of the Pier 3. We are in a TINY group of six people in a small van. I love it! Our guide, Osmond, is funny and patient with the guests who have mobility issues. We went to an animal preserve, saw a butterfly garden, monkeys, parrots and a SLOTH! Then they let us HOLD THE SLOTH!!! We went to an overlook after that and to Buccaneer center and we’re the only ones there! After a short drive to Las Palmas Resort for 2 hours of Beach time.Read more

Traveler That is beautiful. Honduras, who would have thought! Too much fun. Y’all won’t be ready to come home. Sounds like all of your excursions are fantastic!

Limon, Costa Rica

Beautiful coastline as we approached Limon. Did not have time to visit the town as we went on an excursion to have an aerial gondola ride through the rainforest. It took over two hours to reach the national park but it was stunning. Dense tropical rainforest. The ride took an hour but it was slow and virtually silent. There were six of us in the gondola and a guide who explained about the trees and plants we were passing. Saw no animals but did see toucans and humming birds. Then did a short walk to see butterflies. A very rewarding day.Read more

An island off the coast of Honduras. A day to be spent relaxing swimming and snorkelling. Sea warm and clear but I have not seen many fish yet.
