    Kényelmes kelés

    May 23 in Hungary

    Cousin week in Csopak

    July 10, 2017 in Hungary

A week of cousin fun in Csopak again for Nóra, Lotti and Milán ( Emma is still too small for this party!) with Éva-mama. Days of beach, adventure parks, ice-cream ( one day they managed to convince mama that they each need a three scoop ice cream. Lets just say that mama had her fair share of it after the kids gave up quite soon after getting it). A week of no afternoon naps, summer love, bunk beds and things we, the parents, may never know!Read more

    Here to stay

    October 15, 2017 in Hungary

We wondered down to Csopak for the last time this season. We have been going down there in late October for the last few years now, as there usually is a nice sunny weekend that allows that. The autumn colours are beautiful, the place is quiet, and the kincses bolt coffee shop on the beach still serves great coffee and fröccs. The girls love it, we cleat up a bit before the winter and pick the wild grapes from above the sandbox in the garden ( it's a pain to make but the rosemary grape jelly from them is divine!).

This time a kitten wondered to our terrace while we were there. I gave him milk, he drank it and wanted hugs. To Nóra's delight he didn't mind her less than gentle handling ( too much love!) and came back for more. On the day we were to leave, our hearts were breaking knowing that if he has nowhere to go, he will starve and freeze over the long winter in the ghost village. To cut the emotional story short, while the girls napped, we decided to bring the kitten with us to Budapest. He will be an outdoors cat living in our garden ( unless it gets well below zero in winter) and will be allowed in the house only when we are home ( to protect the furniture) and not at night ( to protect our previous sleep). Out of suggested names ( Colombo, Diego, Marcello etc) Nóra settled in Tito. Perhaps he can undo the damage the Yugoslavian comrade did to this name. Welcome to the family, Tito!
