Bangalore Palace

ESP/ENG: Llegar a Bangalore después de 6 horas en el bus resulta una bocanada de aire fresco. Nunca creí que una ciudad de 13 millones de habitantes tuviese ese efecto. Enseguida nos damos cuenta que de hecho se trata de una ciudad más girada hacia empresas tecnológicas, está llena de gente joven, es más moderna, ¡tiene aceras!, menos basura y menos gente abandonada a su suerte. Al llegar ya por la tarde, dudamos de si coger esa misma noche el bus nocturno, pero decidimos darle una oportunidad a la ciudady cogerlo a la noche siguiente. El primer día, después de comer algo aún nos da tiempo de visitar el jardín botánico. Al día siguiente despertamos sin prisa, visitamos los palacios y leemos tranquilamente en el Cubbon Park. Por la tarde vamos a ver el atardecer (aunque no llegamos) a un lago. Lo mejor es maravillarnos con esta parte del país que no nos esperábamos, y sentir que India también es progreso y gente joven queriendo marcar la diferencia.
Por la noche nos dirigimos a los buses nocturnos, tenemos una "cama" doble para los dos, la cubrimos con nuestra sábana y el pareo, hinchamos los cojines de viaje, nos ponemos los tapones y el antifaz, e intentamos dormir a pesar de las bocinas constantes y los frenazos. ¡Ni tan mal!

Arriving in Bangalore after 6 hours on the bus is a breath of fresh air. I never thought that a city of 13 million inhabitants would have that effect. We immediately realize that in fact it is a city more geared towards technology companies, it is full of young people, it is more modern, it has sidewalks!, less garbage and fewer people abandoned to their fate. Arriving in the afternoon, we doubted whether to take the night bus that same night, but we decided to give the city a chance and take it the following night. The first day, after eating something, we still have time to visit the botanical garden. The next day we wake up leisurely, visit the palaces and read quietly in Cubbon Park. In the afternoon we are going to see the sunset (although we did not arrive) at a lake. The best thing is to marvel at this part of the country that we did not expect, and to feel that India is also progress and young people wanting to make a difference.
At night we go to the night buses, we have a double "bed" for the two of us, we cover it with our sheet and the sarong, we inflate the travel cushions, we put on the earplugs and the mask, and we try to sleep despite the constant honking and braking. Not too bad!Read more
