We woke up at 5:30 am to a crisp morning with Christina heading off with Punjan at 6:00 am for a proper hike up the mountains. Meanwhile I slept for another hour before heading off to breakfast. Did my own 1 1/2 hour hike down the mountain and back up to the house. Christina climbed 4000 feet over four miles before stopping for a mountaintop breakfast with majestic views. The return was just as difficult but was back by 12:00 for another amazing lunch. A tented table set with white tablecloth was awaiting us out on the edge of the lawn overlooking Leti village and the mountains. The wine was poured and another feast awaited us. Roasted pumpkin with grapes, nuts and goat cheese quickly became one of our favorites. It was now nap time as we were both still tired. Afternoon entertainment was backgammon, scrabble, and playtime with the neighbors puppy.

As dinner was being prepared we were invited into the Chefs kitchen where we were taught how to make steamed dumplings filled with mutton, fresh herbs, and vegetables.Read more
