Heute haben meine Host Familie, zwei Freundinnen der Tochter und ich einen Ausflug zum Tempel in den Bergen gemacht. Sind um 7:30 los.
Wir hatten sehr viel Spaß und haben super Ausblicke gehabt-Reisfelder inklusive. Dort in den Bergen gibts eine heiße Quelle und es stank stark nach Schwefel zwischenzeitlich. Ich war die einzige Europäerin, sodass ich wieder etliche Fotos mit anderen Touristen machen musste.. 🤦🏼‍♀️
Haben lecker Sate gegessen und dann hat es heute endlich mal nach Ewigkeiten das erste Mal geregnet. Beginn der Monsunzeit?
Die Host Familie ist super nett und die Kommunikation ist sehr abenteuerlich, aufgrund eingeschränkter Englisch-Kenntnisse. Wir verstehen uns trotzdem irgendwie :)
Ich war heute die fitteste-die anderen waren durchgängig aus der Puste und die Mama hat schon am Anfang schlapp gemacht. Die Indonesier fahren nämlich jede Strecke mit dem Roller und laufen nie 😆Read more

Candi Gedong Songo

Candi Gedong Songo is a group of Hindu temples located in Central Java, Indonesia. The site was originally built during the early period of the Medang Kingdom which controlled Central Java during the 8th and 9th centuries. Similar to the Dieng temples on the Dieng Plateau, Gedong Songo was erected out of volcanic stone and the two complexes represent the oldest Hindu structures in Java. Dieng and Gedong Songo predate Borobudur and Prambanan, and show considerable influence from Indian Hindu temple architecture.

The temples of Gedong Songo reflect a similar architectural structure to those on the Dieng Plateau, though they have less variation in form than them. Gedong Songo displays more emphasis on plinth and cornice mouldings.

The buildings have been considerably restored in recent decades.Read more
