      Bali - Part 2

      November 2, 2023 in Indonesia ⋅ ☀️ 30 °C

Kasaba, her köşede fark edilebilen yunus turizminden geçiniyor.

      Bali - Banjuwedang

      August 11, 2023 in Indonesia ⋅ ☁️ 26 °C

      Lovina and dolphins 🐬

      August 31, 2022 in Indonesia ⋅ ⛅ 27 °C

Dolphins day! We woke up early (Bali is one hour more to the east) to have coffee in our garden. At least this time there were no dead gekko hanging around. It was a dead bat 😶🤣 We fixed that and went to village where we were met with the owner of villa for a dolphine your. We went on a little wooden boat and head out.🚤
Nice to see Bali from a distance, sea was calm, really lovely. And before you know it - DOLPHINS! We were like little kids, aaaaaall excited and happy! And there were also baby dolphins jumping out, close to our boat, this is so beautiful! 🐬
Then it was breakfast time, coffee, tea and delicious fried bananas 😋 That was just a pause before putting on masks, hold to rope while boat drives and look under water. At first there was nothing much, then I saw some fish down there, rolling around, and then more... there were like tens of big dolphins swimming, swirling around and dancing around eachother, this is just wooow! So awesome! 🐬🐬 And this went on for like half an hour. Holding on to the ropes at the speed of the boat let us slide along side the dolphins as they went. Beautiful! Hehe there are like 10 tiny boats all moving to where someone spots the dolphins 😃
After awhile we said goodbye and moved closer to coast (while chilling in hammocks) for some snorkeling. First we put some bread in water, there were soooo many fish of all colors! I hade to go in! Corals all around, fish, sooo many! And they just swim around you, come close to you, crazy nice! 🐠🐟
It was getting hot and it was sadly time to go back, eat something and then check out. The guy offered a ride (for €€ of course) and we went to check a nice buddhist temple, so quiet and nice! We really enjoyed it 😊
Finally we went to our next accommodation somewhere inside Bali that Lili found. There are little temples everywhere!
This has got to be the accommodation with best view I've ever seen - jungle on one side, rice fields on the other, sea in the distance. A house with all doors instead of walls so you can just chill on bed and watch the surroundings, can't wait for the morning view 😊 Lady also made us delicious dinner and we signed up for some cooking class, let's see how it goes 💪
Bali so far is really beautiful ❤️ saying good night now watching the stars with the ceremonies on the background

No waterfalls for us in Lovina :(

      November 22, 2022 in Indonesia ⋅ 🌧 28 °C

On our last morning in Amed Mo woke up with a sore throat. I had a headache already since a few days so I thought it would be the AIr Conditioning which maybe had been too cold during the night. But after a breakfast (with a view!) at the blue earth village restaurant, Mo still didn’t feel good and did a covid test just to be sure. Sadly the test result was directly positive. Our symptoms got worse and when Mo and me took a shuttle to our next destination (Lovina) Mo had already flu symptoms. We contacted Fynn, who was on a diving tour that day and would ride to Lovina after the trip with the scooter that he rented. My symptoms weren’t as bad as Mo‘s but I also felt very weak and had pain in my joints.

We (somehow) managed to hang our mosquito net in our new accommodation in Lovina and went straight to bed again. Luckily Fynn didn‘t have any symptoms and brought us a lot of fruits 😊 actually we wanted to visit many stunning waterfalls in the area around Lovina but due to our symptoms we only saw the street and the beach directly next to our accommodation. 😃We always bought meals from the Warung nearby for take away - Putu Warung - where the food and the juices where so good and at the same time so cheap! Putu was such a lovely host and seemed like such a wise man aswell. He told us about his family, his Hindu traditions and his cooking philosophy 😄

Fynn didn’t feel sick and had a great time exploring (almost all 😃) the waterfalls nearby on the next day. In the evening we sat together on the terrace (with a lot of distance) and he told us about his adventurous day 😊 one other highlight was discovering a Martabak stand nearby - which I already had on Karimunjawa with Denise, Zoé and Jonas - Mo and Fynn also liked the pancake-like desert a lot 😍😃

North of Bali - Lovina 🤿🐬🌊🏖️

      November 24, 2023 in Indonesia ⋅ ☁️ 28 °C

Lovina is a nice little village next to Singaraja (which was Bali's capital before it became a tourist hotspot), located on a small but very long black sand beach.
As it's off-season, it's quiet, now, not many travellers and mostly couples or family tourists around here, lots of local tourists during the weekend.
Dolphin tours are THE THING, here, I was literally jumping off my scooter as the first guys were approaching my, offering dolphin tours.
I've already heard mostly not so good stories about the dolphin watching here, finally I was booking a tour from a guy who was recommended for doing it animal friendly and going to a different time, than most other tours are going.
I ended up with very mixed feelings about the tour: There still were loads of boats going around, searching for dolphins and approaching them, as soon as they were spotted out. But except of a few very aggressive boatmen, everybody was going around slowly and carefully, when the dolphins were close by, not trying to chase them, but just following them.
No clue, how bad it really is for the dolphins, for me they seemed not scared and even some were jumping and seeming like playing/racing with the boat, sometimes. It even looked as if they could have gone away from the boats easily, but in fact I really don't know. Due to the huge number of boats, which I really didn't expect that massively, it felt not really right and I wouldn't recommend doing a tour like this, there, if you have any other options to see them in a better setting.
But I can understand why so many people (mostly local tourists were on the boats) want to see the lumba-lumba, as Indonesians are calling dolphins, they are amazing animals. 🥰
On the other hand, snorkeling here was awesome, it widely reminded me of Karimunjawa, beautiful reefs and loads of fishes - never can get enough of the amazing beauty of a nice reef. 😍
Had a great time here, thanks to Tea, my travel mate here, again, for a few days, I've found a beautiful homestay. For some days I was the only one staying there, I had a nice karaoke evening with the host, his family and a friend of them (and a lot of rice wine and palm wine😅), Sedap Malam homestay is the place to be in Lovina! 🥰

      September 7, 2023 in Indonesia ⋅ ☀️ 27 °C

      Lovina

      October 28, 2023 in Indonesia ⋅ ☀️ 30 °C

Und los is gange. Lang simmer do aber nöd bliebe, denn üses nöchste Ziil het no e langi Fahrt vorusgsetzt.

Aschlüssend simmer denn a de Strandpromenade go flaniere und hend en feine Znacht gesse.

      ~
Our awesome but also tiring week in Labuan Bajo has come to an end. We started our day with breakfast on the rooftop of our hotel. Afterwards we finished packing an got on to our taxi to the airport. With only 3 gates and 7 airlines that fly into komodo the security check went by quickly and it wasnt to hard to find our flight.
After about an hour flight we then landed at Balis Denspasar airport. We did not stay there for long because we still had a drive across the entire island ahead of us. It took us 4 hours for the 100km to the North of Bali. The drive began with the typical asain suburb after 2.5 hours we got into the mountain area of central Bali. Once we reached the top the streets got winding and narrower than two cars next to each other. The drive down was quite adventurous.

Then we reached Lovina a small town known for its black beaches and the possibility to see bottlenose dolphins in front of its coast. Next to our hotel there are many diffrent trees with carrying lots of driffrent fruits like bannanas, mangos or rambutan. We havent had to much time for sightseeing yet. But we did get a relaxing massage at the hotel and a tasty dinner at a beachfront restaurant.

      Lovina Beach

      August 26, 2022 in Indonesia ⋅ ☀️ 28 °C

      January 20, 2023 in Indonesia ⋅ 🌧 28 °C
