Parco di Vulci

Wie im vorherigen Footprint angekündigt, haben wir uns vorgenommen, uns von den Rahmenbedingungen des Campingplatzes Tarquinia nicht unterkriegen zu lassen und das Beste draus zu machen. So stand nun etwas Kultur auf dem Programm. Zuerst der Parco de Vulci…ein historische und sehr bekannte Ausgrabungsstätte der Etrusker. Nach ca. 40 Minuten Anreise nördlich von Tarquinia. hatten wir zunächst echt Hunger, weil wir die steinharten Semmeln vom Campingplatz nicht essen wollten. Zum Glück…direkt neben dem Park war ein tolles Restaurant, offenbar ein Familienbetrieb, in dem wir gegen 12:30 Uhr die einzigen Gäste waren und sehr zuvorkommend von allen behandelt wurden. Das Essen war extrem lecker. Danach rein in den historischen Park. Es gab einen sehr schönen See auf dem Gelände, der schon in etlichen italienischen Filmen eine Rolle gespielt hat. Schnell ein paar schöne Fotos gemacht und zügig zurück zum Auto, da die nächste Station unseres Kulturtrips schon wartet…Der Tarot-Garten in Garravicchio. Dank Corona genau getaktet zum Einlass 14:30 Uhr.Read more

Looking out the window, I can see that the sun is just starting to come up. We're supposed to be landing around 6:30 in the morning, local time, so I'm guessing that we're nearly there. I can't wait! It's going to feel so good to get out of this plane!Read more

Our plane is experiencing a lot of turbulence right now and, looking out the window, it's easy to see why. It looks like it's raining out but I can't really tell for sure. I'm thinking that it is, based on the weather reports we read and the bumpy ride that we're feeling. I hope that we land soon. Kathy feels like she's going to be sick! Von Vada aus weiter Richtung Süden. Einfacher Übernachtungsplatz. Ruhig und hoffentlich sicher. 😂
