    Day 450: Mulhouse Car Museum

    Spent a lot of today at a car museum in the city of Mulhouse, about 30 minutes south of Colmar. I'd tried to make it here when we were in Strasbourg last year, but the train fares there were just too expensive.

    The museum holds a large collection of classic cars - mostly pre WW2 European cars. Lots of Bugattis, but plenty of other marques that I'd never heard of! Consolidation really did a number on the car industry. Shandos was bored within about an hour but I spent quite a bit longer just wandering and appreciating, particularly the really old 1900s and 1910s coaches. You can really see how things like the wild west stagecoach evolved into the modern bus, and they were just so elegant as well. Anyway.

    It was wet and windy outside so we just headed back to our apartment in the mid-afternoon, and spent the rest of the day working.
