    Spitzkoppe National Park

    September 3, 2017 in Namibia ⋅ ⛅ 21 °C

Spitzkoppe is a relatively small area but stunning. The rock formations have the most unusual shapes and are much taller than you would think once we started climbing up them. Thankfully the rock type is very grippy. Sleeping under the stars with the huge silhouettes of the rocks was also worthwhile.Read more

    A night under the stars

    January 28 in Namibia ⋅ ⛅ 24 °C

We are on our way to Cape Cross, where we have a stop over to see a seal colony. Last night we stayed in the middle of a group of huge rocks, in a dessert area, called Spitzkoppe.

I slept outside and had a very good rest. We woke up at 6:30 and after breakfast left.

Yesterday Often made us a royal dinner, roasted butternut, garlic bread, roasted potatoes, salad and as a speciality Kudu and Oryx (gemsbok). It was yummy!

The closer we get to the ocean, the colder it gets, everyone is putting on warmer clothes, as the difference between 38 and 18 is quite big.
