- walk on edge of lake
- shops
- massage
- meet for paddle boat ride & then sundowners. Turned into a bit of a debacle as we drove for 1+ hours to other side of lake & up a steep winding mountain road (surprise surprise) and then a walk cross country & down steep stairs, as a storm was approaching 😳 Many people not impressed!
We got to The Hidden Camp, which was very impressive. Food was great but everyone was worried about how we were getting back. It ended up that we got a boat across the lake - in the dark! Took 2 trips.
Gools, Thommo & Bipin were very embarrassed about it, so offered for us to have free drinks & food, back at the hotel bar!!Read more

- walk to lake & shops
- With group- paddle boat on Lake
- drive 1+ hours around the lake, up a steep, winding mountain road, walk through paddock & down steep rock stairs, with a storm approaching, to a luxury venue!! Lots of people not happy.
- get a boat back across lake in the dark
- free food & drinks back at the hotel as an apology!Read more

Schon nach dem ersten paar Stunden sind wir völlig sprachlos. Wild, staubig, chaotisch und gleichzeitig aufregend. Nur einen kleinen Spaziergang von der Unterkunft entfernt liegt der Pashupatinath Tempel. Zwischen Hindus, Affen und Kühen stachen wir weißen Touris schon sehr hervor. Am eindrucksvollsten waren allerdings die Verbrennungen ihrer toten Angehörigen direkt am Fluss und vor unseren Augen. Diese Eindrücke müssen wir erst einmal sacken lassen...Read more

Flight from KL to Nepal with a lot of people, that have apparently never used an aircraft before. We left late, because 80% of the other guests needed to take selfies with the plane! Kathmandu is crazy. Our host, Damodar, is very hospitable and takes good care of us. First walk was to Pashupatinath-tempel - we watched three burning bodies, a lot of holy people, monkeys, holy cows and street dogs. Junge, was für eine Fahrt! 150 km in sage und schreibe 9 (in Worten: neun) Stunden!!! Dabei u.a. die wichtige Nord-Süd Achse befahren. 36 km Schlagloch an Schlagloch. Allein das hat über zwei Stunden gedauert. Abgefahren!
Die Entschädigung dann gerade eben. Nepalisches Essen und kulturelle Tanzeinlagen. Dafür sind wir jetzt ordentlich kaputt...gute Nacht 🌃Read more
