Elaine Bay

Die Firma, bei der wir in Blenheim in den Weinfeldern gearbeitet haben, hatte leider nach 10 Tagen keine Arbeit mehr für Backpacker obwohl 4 Wochen versprochen waren. Also ging am Dienstag die Reise für uns weiter. Momentan reisen wir also wieder durchs Land aber schauen auch gelegentlich nach einem kurzfristigen neuen Job bis uns Felix Eltern Ende Februar besuchen kommen.
Von Blenheim aus sind wir wieder Richtung Norden gefahren zu den Marlborough Sounds und dem Fench Pass. In der Elaine Bay hatten wir einen wirklich herrlichen Campingplatz direkt am Meer aber leiden hielten uns die Stachelrochen (Bild 3) im Wasser von einer Abkühlung ab. So verharrten wir also bei 35 Grad in unseren Campingstühlen :D.
Mittlerweile sind wir in Nelson angekommen und weiter geht es Richtung Abel Tasman Nationalpark. Bis dahin muss allerdings erstmal mein Handy repariert werden, da es sich nicht mehr aufladen lässt und wir somit weder Internet haben, noch iwie anderweitig erreichbar sind weil die neuseeländische Sim-Karte in Felix Handy nicht funktioniert. Also drückt mir die Daumen das das schnell und günstig wieder repariert werden kann.

Plans changing!

After 10 days of work in the vineyards, the contractor got no more work for a lot of backpackers. We decided to leave Blenheim on Tuesday and go on travelling. Occasional we are looking for a new job, cause we still got 4 weeks before Felix's parents arrive in Christchuch.
We drove from Blenheim to the Marlborough Sounds and the French Pass, where we camped at the Elaine Bay for the first night. It's a beatiful campsite right at the sea. Unfortunatly some stingrays kept us from swimming in the crystal clear water (picture 3).
Meanwhile we are in Nelson and want to travel to the Abel Tasman National Park. Until then Jenni's phone needs to be repaired, cause it won't charge anymore. Felix's phone is not working with a New Zealand phone card. That's why we hope that the phone repair will be successfull.Read more
