Lake Wairarapa

Wir hoffen, dass ihr alle Weihnachten gut überstanden habt und ein paar ruhige und entspannte Tage mit eurer Familie verbracht habt! Für uns ging es nach Hastings weiter über Palmerston North zum Lake Wairarapa. Dort haben wir an einem sehr schönen und ruhigen Campingplatz bei knappen 30 Grad Weihnachten gefeiert. Unser Baum stand wie eine 1, das Räucherkerzl räucherte und die Weihnachtsnudeln aus Riesa haben gemundet. Dennoch war es schon ein wenig komisch so weit entfernt von der Heimat Weihnachten allein zu verbringen und die richtige Weihnachtsstimmung kommt bei strahlendem Sonnenschein auch nicht so recht auf aber wir hatten zwei sehr entspannte Tage am See. Am ersten Weihnachtsfeiertag ging es dann für uns weiter in Richtung der Hauptstadt Wellington.

Christmas time and 30 degress

We hope you all got well through Christmas and spent some quiet and relaxing days with your family! We went to Hastings via Palmerston North to Lake Wairarapa. There we celebrated christmas at a very nice and quiet campsite with nearly 30 degrees. Our christmas tree was set, the smoked incense fumed and the Christmas noodles from Riesa were tasty. Still, it was a bit strange to spend Christmas alone so far away from home and the right Christmas spirit didn't really get through. But, we had two very relaxing days at the lake.
