I am in Trondheim, wich means I have officially cycled the length of Norway. There is a five year gap between the northern leg and the one I just finished, but we don’t mention that.
Trondheim is the last big city if you travel north. From now on civilization will get less and less. I have suspicion that it will be a lot more touristy than 5 years ago. Let’s see if that holds true.
Also today marks 1 month on the road. 31 days ago I started. I have had a slightly interrupted first month. Did only 20 days of cycling, but the off-days were worth it so much!
Still I managed to cover 2121km and 21840m of climbing. That’s near enough three times the Mount Everest. From the kilometers I should probably deduct about 75km from when I forgot to pause the bike computer on ferries (and a camper van). Still 115,5 hours. Name me a married man with young kids who gets that much time to do stupid stuff like I do.
I have to take a moment to thank my wonderful wife. I don’t want to come across cheesy, but there couldn’t be a better person than my wife. Period.Read more
