Gråndalen

We are sitting on then plane flying from Iceland back to Oslo on the same airline that lost our bags. They had some problem with the walking tunnel to the plane this time so fingers crossed we get to Oslo and we have bags. Iceland was amazing. We both felt the landscape was so unique. Yesterday we did the Golden Circle . This is a loop outside of Reykjavik where we saw thermal geysers and huge powerful waterfalls volcanic craters and snow capped mountains. The weather was cloudy and misty with some showers but it all added to the atmosphere. We managed to get a bit lost as usual but we survived and thought for two old gals we are fairly brave driving ourselves around in Iceland on the wrong side of the road. Unfortunately my back went into spasm a few days ago so I have been swallowing pain killers icing and heating and trying to get better . Bette carried my camera bag for me through security at the airport and I had my iPad in it. She didn't realise and the security lady said "You have a tablet in there" and Bette then went into a long explanation how yes she did have her tablets because last time she flew didn't have her tablets and the bags were lost and she had to go to the doctor bla bla and the woman said " No madam you have an iPad in there" not amused ! Then Bette had forgotten she had her water bottle still so more chastising. Meanwhile I am still going through the major body pat down because of my artificial knee setting off the scanners. Anyway one night in Oslo tonight then we board the ship late tomorrow and set sail on our Baltic adventure . We are looking forward to unpacking and handing over the reigns to someone else and can't wait to see some new places in countries not seen thus far.
