AIDAmar Reisetagebuch Tag 5 - Kristiansand

Wieder ein neuer Hafen, und wieder spielt das Wetter mit. Heute sind wir mit der AIDAmar in Kristiansand, Liegezeit bis 18:00 Uhr.

Die norwegische Stadt mit ihren knapp 86.000 Einwohnern ist zu Fuß vom Schiff leicht zu erreichen. Am Hafen fuhr außerdem ein Mini-Zug, der für 15,- Euro pro Person eine Fahrt durch Kristiansand anbot.

Wir sind aber zu Fuß los und waren nach kurzer Zeit bereits am Dom, in dem gerade eine Messe abgehalten wurde. Nett wurden wir herein gebeten und lauschten der uns leider nicht zu verstehenden Predigt als auch den Klängen des Kirchenchors.

Im Anschluss folgten wir dem quadratförmig aufgebauten Straßennetz nach Norden zur Straße „Skippergata“, wo ein Haus neben dem anderen in weißem typisch norwegischen Stil angereiht wurde. Am Ende der Straße gelangt man zum Fluß „Otra“, dem wir wieder in Richtung Schiff folgten.

Vorbei an schönen Segelschiffen, Yachten und einem größeren Neubaugebiet kamen wir zum „Bystranda“, dem Strand von Kristiansand. Zum Baden war es zwar etwas kühl, aber jeder weiß bestimmt wie schön auch ein Strand im
Herbst oder Winter sein kann zum Spazieren. Okay, dieser hier ist recht klein aber dennoch war es schön.

Kurz danach erreicht man die „Christianholm Festning“, eine alte Festung mit Ausblick über die Bucht von Kristiansand. Gleich im Anschluss folgt dann noch der „Nupen Fontenen“, ein Brunnen der wohl einer der berühmtesten in ganz Norwegen ist.

Zurück durchs kleine Hafendorf „Gravane“ mit dem eigenen Fischmarkt von Kristiansand und dem Kauf des Kühlschrank-Magneten am Container-Souvenirstand sind wir dann auch wieder an Bord gegangen.

Nun werden wir uns nachher noch das Auslaufen ansehen, bevor es morgen am Seetag weiter in Richtung Norden geht. Nächstes Ziel: Flåm

🇬🇧 AIDAmar Travel Diary Day 5 - Kristiansand

Another new harbor, and again the weather plays along. Today we are with the AIDAmar in Kristiansand, lying time until 18:00 clock.

The Norwegian city with almost 86,000 inhabitants is within easy walking distance of the ship. At the port also drove a mini-train, which offered for 15, -EURO per person a trip through Kristiansand.

But we left on foot and after a short time were already at the cathedral, where a mass was just held. We were kindly invited in and listened to the unpredictable sermon as well as the sounds of the church choir.

Afterwards, we followed the square-shaped road network north to the street "Skippergata", where one house next to the other in white typical Norwegian style was strung. At the end of the road you come to the river "Otra", which we followed again in the direction of the ship.

Past beautiful sailing ships, yachts and a larger development area we came to the "Bystranda", the beach of Kristiansand. For swimming it was a bit cool, but everyone knows how beautiful a beach in the Autumn or winter can be for a walk. Okay, this one is quite small but still it was nice.

Shortly after you reach the "Christianholm Festning", an old fortress overlooking the bay of Kristiansand. Immediately afterwards follows the "Nupen Fontenen", a fountain which is probably one of the most famous in all of Norway.

Back through the small harbor village "Gravane" with the own fish market of Kristiansand and the purchase of the fridge magnet at the container souvenir stand we went back on board.

Now we will look at the phasing out before tomorrow we heading north on the sea day. Next destination: Flåm
