Cape Fear comes true

What seemed like a piece of cake turned out quickly to be scary 8 foot waves. We left the harbour sailing out in cape fear notorious for the tricky canal going out. After reaching open sea the waves quickly turnes into choppy 8ft waves. After 20min we decided enough was enough and turned back. A sailboat coming in confirmed it would take at least an hour in very choppy waves before getting into more quiet water. Oh well we are now safe and sound in the intercoastal waterway heading for charleston.もっと詳しく
