Mercado del Claustro

We went to the market, SA Placa Mercat de Mao. We tasted the pasteurised and non-pasteurised traditional Mahón-Menorca cheese which has a protected manufacture so it can only be made with milk from the island. The taste varies depending on how long the cheese has been matured and these artisan cheeses have wrinkles made by the cloth in which they are wrapped. The cheeses were delicious especially the non-pasteurised.
We stayed on the Lido deck for a BBQ dinner. It was great to have a simple meal! Back to basics.
