    Albergue in Grado

    April 20, 2019 in Spain ⋅ ☀️ 7 °C

A really lovely walk this morning. Early morning fog and mist made way to bright sunshine. Beautiful views, wildflowers (including orchids and primula), much walking beside streams and the river. met and talked with others on the way. I’m stopping here after far too few steps, but I really want to stay in this albergue. Several friends have served here as hospitaleros. The park and numerous cafes with outdoor seating are also calling me,Read more

SO beautiful! Wow. If you see this, and if you indulge in meat, Reb and I had hamburgers like I have never eaten in my life in Gran Feudo.

    38km - Albergue

    July 17, 2015 in Spain ⋅ ☀️ 17 °C

We met the German pilgrim who we met before in the beginning of our journey. He traveled most of the time with the bus. Such a cheater 😂. We bought dinner at a local carnaceria. For dinner we had winer, cheese, orange juice, olives and bread. I also had a salad.

We played chess. Peter won, but that's only because I was too tired to play 😂
We also played the German card game 66 which I obviously won 😉

We also met a woman that started in France and has been traveling for 8 weeks. She later plated outside on the flute with a guy who was playing with his guitar.

I slept well, but the albergue had many annoying flies!

Šiandien lietus prigavo mane. Paskutines dvi ejimo valandas pliaupe be sustojimo, tai gerokai pamirkau. Užtat dovanų gavau bananų. Užėjau į vaisių parduotuvėlę Oviedo, ir jau padėjus prekes ant stalo pardavėjas klausia: -Camino de Santiago?! Sakau jooo.

Today the rain finally got me. Last two hours were like in a shower. But the bright side of the day is that i got bananas as a gift when a guy from grocery shop asked if I am on Camino :)
Around midday I arrived to Oviedo where I was impressed by old town. It's really what you can call an 'old town ". But despite the beauty of the city, as usually, I hit the road quite soon. Here I am, in Alberge in the middle of nowhere only with two other people.
