Ukuwela Division

Auf dem Weg von Dambulla halten wir kurz an einem Schnitzgeschäft und in einem staatlichen, ayuvedischen Kräutergarten. Ich sehe das erste Mal eine Teeblüte. Dann geht es weiter südlich nach Kandy. Dort brechen wir den Stadtrundgang ab, um vor dem einsetzenden Monsun in den berühmten Zahntempel zu flüchten. Der ist an den meisten Stellen dicht… 😉

On the way from Dambulla we stop briefly at a carving shop and a state-run Ayuvedic herb garden. I see a tea blossom for the first time. Then we continue south to Kandy. There we break off the city tour to escape to the famous Temple of the Tooth before the onset of the monsoon. It's closed in most places... 😉Read more
