    @Stockholm

    September 3, 2015 in Sweden

    Overnachten in een hostel gevestigd in een jumbo jet op het vliegveld in Stockholm. Voor alles een eerste keer, toch? Heel grappig eens mee te maken, al krijgen we er weinig van mee. We zijn bekaf, het afscheid hakte er behoorlijk in. Waarom wilden we ook alweer een jaar op reis?

    Op dit moment lijkt het idee om alles en iedereen achter te laten volkomen belachelijk, en we kiezen er zelf voor.. Het gaat helemaal fantastisch worden, de ervaring van ons leven, écht. We weten het, maar zo voelt het nog even niet.Read more

    Stockholm - exploring

    September 16, 2015 in Sweden

    Did a walking tour in the morning, including downtown areas, some nice gardens, and the rather underwhelming Stockholms Konserthaus, where they give out the Nobel Prizes (statue out front was more interesting, #1).

The shop owner assured me were very traditional but I have forgotten their names so I have no idea if this is true.

    Heading south next (#6), across a bridge to the island of Gamla Stan where the old town and palace are located...

    Stockholm

    March 23 in Sweden

    We got up early in Woking and got dropped off by Mum at the station (after she retracted her offer of dropping us off at Heathrow) and quick whiz through security saw us dive into a restaurant for breakfast and an espresso martini. After a nice flight we arrived in Stockholm and found our hotel which is amazing. Very cool and Scandinavian. We checked into our windowless room (not that bad) and then headed out to Gamla Stan for a little wander before heading up to the rooftop pool (thankfully heated) and sat and looked out over the rooftops of Stockholm as the sunset. It was bloody lovely. We decided to eat at the hotel restaurant as we were tired. I had a really tasty bit of halibut and some hotdogs before passing outRead more
