Matsayit Ao Nang

Had our last brekkie and morning swim at the Amari this morning. It’s tough going having all and anything you can eat each day, I tell ya!
The dinner last night may have poisoned us all a little bit, we all have slightly sore tummy’s, and a bit not sure how the days going to go feelings, but not too bad either.
Packed up our room and headed off on our 3 hour van transfer to Krabi. Such a good drive seeing more of Thailand. It’s such a beautiful country. We knew we were getting close when the limestone mountains came jutting out of nowhere. So very Thailand and so beautiful.
Made it to our accommodation around 4pm, Aonang Hill 1/11 (need to find out what the 1/11 means, cause there is a restaurant up the road called the same?) 120 nzd per night.
The hotel is beautiful! Rooms sparkling clean and we can step off our deck and we are by the pool. Beautiful mountain views too.
We decided on getting takeaways and eating in tonight. Lee and I strolled down the road to see what was on offer. The street wasn’t packed with people or busy traffic, but instead pretty little eating places with smiley people saying “Kap Kunka, please madame take a seat and eat”. A nice change from the hustle and bustle of Patong. We settled on the restaurant at the end of the street, a nice family, super clean place and such fresh and delicious food! The owner chatted with us while we waited. Sweet and sour chicken, chicken lamb and lamb something something 😆 all for only 270 baht. We walked back to our room with our dinner and as we arrived that the hotel a scooter came zooming up, it was the mum, dad and daughter…I had left me phone on their table and they raced to find us to give it back.
