    Abu Dhabi to Delphi

    Today we journeyed from Abu Dhabi to Delphi.

    We started our day with a very early rise at 5am so that we could make our flight from Abu Dhabi to Athens(we could hear the singing from the mosque nearby start at 4:15, it was a very festive alarm 😂). At the airport we enjoyed food at the lounge, and then Arabic coffee at a local coffee spot.

    We had an uneventful flight with beautiful views of the Middle East, Egypt, and Greece. When we landed in Athens we picked up our rental car, and made the 2.5 hour drive to Delphi.

    Our Delphi hotel was super cute, and it was right near town, so we walked in for dinner and had an authentic Greek meal overlooking the ocean and nearby mountains. It was picturesque!

    Following dinner we walked the town, and enjoyed the sunshine and awesome vibes of the area. We saw a number of stray cats and dogs that were clearly well cared for by the locals, and we enjoyed picking them out all around the city. After enjoying our walk we called it an early evening, with lots of exploring of the Delphi ruins tomorrow.    Read more
