Grand Turk

Today we docked on Grand Turk and all picked up our golf cart to explore the island. We were the first people at Governor's Beach, the highest ranked beach on the island. The water was warm and delightful. Jenny hung out while the three of us floated for an hour or so.

Then we headed to the Lighthouse at the far north end of the island. We were passed by a thousand other golf carts on the way (exaggeration but it seemed like ALOT!).

Next we headed to deserted Pillory Beach meeting our new friend Trevor who iwned the only six beach chairs on the beach. Hung there and floated and drank local beers and for me a vodka-cran can drink that was delicious.

The Ridge Cafe was our spot for lunch. It was terrific - chalkboard minutes with four items. The views were fantastic as was the food. Multiple sets of locals showed up indicating it is one of the gems on the island.

Taylor and I showered and dressed up for our late dinner reservation at 8. Caymus Cab by the glass was so yummy with my ribeye! Off to bed with a bit of waves and buzz.Read more

Funday at sea, with an unexpected stop

We had a great day enjoying the advantages of the Mardi Gras. The weather was very nice. In the afternoon, there was an unexpected announcement from the captain about a medical emergency on board (not Covid!). In order to get the patient to the closest hospital, we stopped unscheduled in Grand Turk for the late evening. We hope the patient get better very soon.Read more

Taking advantage of my day off with a long walk along the beach and bugged the beach waiters on the way. Now waiting for the team to all be together for some lunch at Margaritaville. I’m on table duty, grabbing a table well everyone arrives after their shoots.Read more
