More of beautiful Ambleside, Bowness and our grand hotel, "Lindeth Howe" on Lake Windermere.
Travelling up to Scotland, we stopped off and stayed by Lake Windermere. We enjoyed a spontaneous boat ride on the lake, followed by dinner looking over the lake.
The guy on the Ferry said: “Welcome to the Lake District”. I said: “It wouldn’t be the real experience if it was sunny, would it?”. A quick “No” was his reply.
