Tom took us for a drive through this stunning Landscape. Located in south Wales, the Brecon Beacons National Park has four dramatic mountain ranges, rolling hills that offer brilliant walking and cycling tracks. We stayed at a cute BnB for 2 nights.Read more

Our roadtrip from Exeter to Wales took around 3 hrs with stops - We stayed at a cute little Abnb at Pontneddfechan ( pronounce that!) - a beautiful spot located near the entrance to Waterfall Country

Brecon Castle (Welsh: Castell Aberhonddu) is a castle in the town of Brecon, Wales. It was built by the Norman Lord Bernard de Neufmarché in 1093, and was frequently assaulted by the Welsh in 13th and 15th centuries. The castle's ownership changed numerous times. It began falling into ruin when Henry VIII executed the last dukes of Buckingham, who at the time controlled the castle. It was renovated and made a hotel in the early 19th century. Got to test out the rain coverings this morning with a wet ride along a canal tow path.

I passed through Brecon and this curry house which is where my friend Tim (for whom I was best man) dared to try a Bangalore Phal curry. He lived to tell the tale.Read more

The route to Brecon was very beautiful , passing through lush green countryside and the Brecon Beacons National Park.
Our site is adjacent to the Monmouth to Brecon Canal and there was a lovely walk along the towpath into the town of Brecon.
Brecon is a nice country town full of the usual outdoor pursuits stores and individual shops mixed in with the nationals. The old castle is now an hotel.
