    Glasgow 2nd

    March 13 in the United Kingdom ⋅ ⛅ 5 °C

Sun? Is that you? Well hello! Vitamin D is kicking in and I got so much power for the day so I started it with a nice walk at the riverside and discovered many great architectures. Taking my way back to the city center to get some food, clouds started covering the sky and let the wind blow pretty cold.
Had a meetup with my host at a vegan cafe and so I tried my first vegan cake which was so delicious (and fucking expensive 🙄)
Decided to have a relaxed evening and took a bath while Robert was out.

    Glasgow Brauerei

    September 6, 2019 in the United Kingdom ⋅ ☁️ 15 °C

Riecht nach TouriFalle - also rein da.
Es ist toll!!! Leckere Biere und Cider und eine wirklich gute Atmosphäre - wie in einem Brauhaus!

    Glasgow Kathedrale

    September 6, 2019 in the United Kingdom ⋅ ⛅ 14 °C

    Unser Start in Glasgow:
Die Kathedrale! Unser günstiger Parkplatz nebendran wird uns am Ende des Tages nur 15 Pfund kosten.
Neben der Kirche ein großer alter beeindruckender Friedhof mit parkähnlicher Anlage und vielen Mausoleen.
Am Ende kein Vergleich zu unserem Dom - daher auch keine Fotos.
    Weiter geht es ins Zentrum.

Glasgow, the Worlds - day 2

    August 15, 2015 in the United Kingdom ⋅ ⛅ 14 °C

What a day! What an event! So many people, so many pipers and drummers. Well done Shotts and Dykehead and congrats on winning G1 first place. It's hard to describe an event like the World Pipe Band Championships, there is just so much going on with pipe bands warming up everywhere, even in the beer gardens, and people and food and more piping. The junior bands were a lot of fun to watch too. Such talent in these young people. The queues at the beer garden were like front of the stage at a rock concert, although slightly more polite pushing and shoving. I really enjoyed Glasgow. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and there is a lot to see. Wish we had more time to explore the city.Read more

    Glasgow Day 2

    April 22, 2017 in the United Kingdom ⋅ ☀️ 12 °C

Early wake up Breakfast @ Cafe William - very nice! Georgia had Nutella & Banana Pancakes! Another fine day and we decide to do a walking tour of Glasgow! Start @ the dead centre of town - the Necropolis. This is one of Europe's finest Cemeteries on a hill beside the old merchant side of Town! It is an amazingly beautiful but derelict tribute to the people associated with Glasgow's heritage. A short walk took us to the Glasgow Cathedral a stunning piece of Architecture with many unravelling layers of History and Worship. Unfortunately, the Blackadder Aisle was closed for renovation! Georgia lit two candles, one for mum and one for dad! And we continued our voyage of discovery to the local markets, a poor man Brickworks, then back to the old Merchant Town for a few laps and then out looking forWest Brewery near the River Clyde! This was a long journey after much walking and we somehow managed to walk about a km past it! Anyway finally got back there for a well earned Pint of Dark and a Pint of Black! Taxi home for afternoon nap!Read more

    Market only Sundays 10am-5pm.
Update- closes at 4pm, found out when got there at 4:10 :( From the looks of it, it is a huge flea market. Might be a good Sunday outing, walking distance (~30 minutes) from the University.Read more
