Gowerton

Arrived in the north end of the Gower Peninsular just as the rain finished, hopefully for a few days. We are well placed to do some walking and cycling in the area. A great CAMC site with a friendly welcome from the staff. Thankfully this time we are pitching up on hard standing. Everything around here is very wet to say the least! On Sunday we walked from the site to find the Welsh coast path. We followed it for over 5 miles, walking alongside marshes for a long way with views out to the sea. A beautiful autumnal day with blue skies and sun. A real change from the previous few days. We saw many horses and ponies grazing on the marshes. We both felt weary for the last mile or so of our return walk, but felt justified when we discovered we had walked over 12 miles in total.
