We are now moving into the mountains through lake side, slate quarries and trees.

Went past hotel where Sir Edmund Hillary and team stayed while training for Everest. This land is very barren and the main reason for coming here is the out door activities. Saw rock climbers and hikers. The odd homestead is dotted amongst these rock and scree slopes rising high above us.Read more
