      Porthmadog

      September 17, 2021 in Wales ⋅ ☁️ 14 °C

Moving on to Porthmadog we booked ourselves into the Tyddyn Llywn campsite for three nights. Mad and Richard, Matt's parents, were coming to join us for the second and third nights.
Settling down early afternoon we wandered into town for a look at the shops. The place was quite busy and very much visitor orientated.
On Saturday we returned to the town in the morning to get the Saturday paper and returned to the campsite via the Wales coast path to have a quick look at Borth y Gest and a little beyond. Borth y Gest is a nice village on the sea front with a wide sandy bay.
We arrived to see M and R had just arrived so we all enjoyed a tea and cake prior to the fizz being opened. We got the cadac bbq out for the first time in a while and all enjoyed an evening meal in the evening sun. The sky was turning a beautiful red as the sun went down. In the evening we all watched Strictly come Dancing indoors, ready to appreciate the warmth of the van once the sun went down and we started to feel a chill in the air.
On Sunday we all wandered back into Porthmadog where we left M and R to mooch whilst we walked across the cobb to follow the coast path as far as Portmeirion.
Karen produced another wonderful Sunday roast which we all enjoyed in the evening sunshine. Kirsty and Matt had emailed us the link to the wedding video, which we all watched on the laptop after the sun went down. It reminded us all of the Happy day and was much enjoyed by all.
