Yorkshire Sculpture Park

The Yorkshire Sculpture Park occupies the parkland of Bretton Hall, near West Bretton, Wakefield, and is basically an art gallery with both outdoor and indoor exhibition locations. Internally, there are exhibits in an underground gallery, as well as at The Weston and the redundant Bartholomew Chapel.

It was very interesting to see these and walk around the park.Read more

On the way back from Leeds we charged the car at a Gridserve charging point near Warrington.

Either the cold temperatures or broken machine caused the charging to be verrrrrry slow.

Walked Sam up to an disused colliery outside of Elsecar this morning. Looks like it’s been turned into a private residence then back to the van for breakfast before heading off
back to the outskirts of Doncaster as I’d missed monk Bretton priory that was on the list of places to go and as it was a nice day it was perfect for the drone. As it was quite and empty I took the opportunity to open up the van and air it out whilst I had lunch and Sam layer in the sun on the grass. This afternoon I moved up county to near Huddersfield and visited the Yorkshire sculpture park. £6 to get in and park and a great day out but if you park down the road in the village hall and use the public footpath that just so happens to cut across the sculpture park it’s free.Read more
