Disneyland - Day 1 evening

After a break at the hotel, walked down to iHops for dinner and then headed back to Disneyland.

We booked the Indiana Jones adventure ride for 9:20pm, unfortunately was closed for a bit so didn’t get into until a bit later.

While waiting we got to Pirates of Caribbean, Finding Nemo and Haunted mansion, as well as watching the fireworks.

Day 5
California Adventure Park

Today was a great day at Disney's California Adventure Park. We started off later than originally attended as the jet lag set in the kids didn't go to bed until 1:20am, so they slept in a bit longer. It was a bit more relaxed and less crowded than Disney.

We had lovley chats with people in line and Brandon makes friends everywhere. We even got tips on how to use the "fast pass" and "parents pass" correctly as we didn't use it in Disneyland. Brandon got to go on the grizzly bear ride twice as well as Guardians of the Galaxy.

We even saw the Frozen 1 hour stage show which was amazing. The set design, movement, digital effects crammed with all the music from the movie is a must see.

It was another late night but it was a great family fun day..

Notes:
Having Inara wear shoes with lights was great and good for all the rides that are dark when waiting on line
Not sure if bunk beds was worth it as it was musical beds with the bunk beds and our king bed.Read more

Day 5
Disneyland

Up early, down for breakfast by 6.30am. Full of families with young kids, don't they sleep in?! At Disneyland by 8am. We were able to walk onto most rides without waiting. I did every ride with the kids so far, had lots of fun. Disney's attention to detail is unbelievable and the vivid colours are beautiful. We had good day. We planned to come home early afternoon for a rest but we ended up watching the parade. While waiting for the parade, it was fun people watching. We tried a few Disney snacks- Mickey Mouse Beignets and Dole Whip. The Beignets were yummy, Kellie thought they tasted like Krispy Kreme donuts without the glaze. The dole whip was a pineapple flavoured soft serve, we shared this one. It was ok but probably wouldn't get it again. It ended up being after 4pm when we left. We wanted some salad veggies and looking on the map some groceries stores not too far. Well their blocks are a lot bigger than ours it ended up a couple of k's walk. A few groceries & a couple of ugly sweaters later we called an Uber. We are heading back later for fireworks and a laser light show.Read more
Annette Luckraft You will need a rest day soon. Looks like you are getting good weather. We had a thunderstorm during the night that lasted quite awhile but no rain. Sun out today and warmed up quickly. Farmers back reaping after a week off.

Debbie Adamson Haha kids dragging feet today. Early night tonight, maybe a swim in hotel pool this afty. Beautiful sunshine here, but Kellie & are wet from a ride. Even with the dryers Kellie is still dripping.🤣🤣 Sun is super bright here, even with sunglasses you are still squinting. xx

Disney day 2

Even though we had over 9hrs sleep still hard to drag ourselves out of bed. Brodie made it to breakfast today after Kellie talking about the amazing waffles. We had an early pass to today, not sure if it was worth getting out of bed for as some of the rides were temporarily closed and only 2 lands open for early morning. Once you get there you forget that it was a struggle to get out of bed. We did Fantasyland on our early pass as this is more small kid orientated. Realise how dark fairytales are and scary. Not sure how small kids go on these rides. I skipped Space mountain as I didn't like it in Paris, kids a bit disappointed, Paris a lot better. Did a few rides, a lot busier today and a lot more ride breakdowns. We left about 1.30pm to go home for lunch and rest, before going back tonight.
I would give anything for a decent cup of coffee. I wished I had bought some instant coffee with me because that is better than what they drink here.Read more
Annette Luckraft Plenty to see and do by the sounds of it. Have heard others complain about America’s coffee. Just had Sandra and Allan for tea. They say hi and glad you are having a good time. Christmas Day must be getting closer. Went down the street today and it was bedlam. Can’t wait to see your Christmas in the snow. Cheers Annette

Debbie Adamson Yes plenty to do, we want to keep going as once you are inside Disneyland you forget how tired you are. Resting in the afternoon is helping. Glad I am missing the Christmas madness. Not sure how we will cope with the cold as it is good living weather here.

Today we went to Disneyland. First we went and did some rides in Radiator Springs and then headed over to get a fast pass for the Indiana Jones ride. My favourite ride of the day was the Lightning McQueen ride. Tonight we went to Fire and Ice for dinner, which is my favourite restaurant in America. Tomorrow we are heading across to Disney California Adventure.Read more

Today we went to the other part of Disneyland. We went on Soaring over the World and Goofy's Sky School. We just wandered around Paradise Pier all day until 8:15, which was when A World of Colour started. Tomorrow is our last day in Disneyland and our last day in America.😢Read more

Disney Adventure Park day 2

After 5hrs of sleep we were up again. Really wanted to do Radiator Springs racers that we missed out on last time. The walk to Disneyland is 1.2kms it is getting longer each day. We made it to rope drop today. We managed to get on the racers quickly and it was worth getting out of bed for. We got a fast pass for later, but line still reasonably short so we went straight back on. So all up we got in 3 rides and sat in the front of car all 3 rides. Kids went on the roller coaster a few times. We had morning coffee and was back at our hotel by midday. Kellie & Brodie slept a bit, I washed and dozed. We didn't go back out until 6pm for tea, we had tea at Denny's. Then back to Disney Adventure Park, we wanted to see Cars Land in complete darkness with all it's neon lights. It didn't disappoint, the mountain looked amazing all lit up. Then we decided we needed to Radiator Springs racers in the dark. A bit of a wait, but not too bad for this ride. Our finale ride for Disneyland. Loved our time here, we want to come back and see the new Star Wars area and most of all the new Stark Industries (Ironman) area. 2022 here we come.Read more

We went to Disneyland. There is a ride called Incredicoaster. It had a loopdeloop. It went 50-60mph.
We got a Tesla 3o. Uncle Mike has a Tesla 3p. I love Teslas. We went in Uncle Mike's pool. We had soooooooo much fun. I miss my family already.Read more

Opened California Adventure today and went straight to Cars Land before wandering back to the Avengers Campus via San Fransokyo. Visited our friend Patrick and then headed to the other park to ride Jungle Cruise and Indy (and Pirates, again). Finished the day seeing Cali Adventure at night and then World of Color.Read more

It was Marvel Mania for character hunting today. Spiderman, Antman and the Wasp, Black Panther, Moongirl, Daisy, Mickey, Minnie, Dr. strange, Loki, Black Widow, and McQueen!
