    Übernahme WoMo - ein Desaster

September 8 in the United States

Read more

April 7th - Let the party begin

April 15 in the United States

Well the day did not start as planned. Suzi slipped and injured her back late Friday night, so we started the day with a trip to the ER to get her looked over. Fortunately, there were not broken bones, just some bruising and very sore muscles.

The trip to the ER kept her away from the party until after 4 pm. Our friend, Maudie, who was in town for the party, kept Suzi company and brought her back to the Air Base when she was released from the ER.

I, on the other had, spent the entire day celebrating at my party with family and friends. It was a great day of laughter, love and sharing. I was especially grateful for my brother Steve and Alayne to have made the trip up from New Mexico to be in Las Vegas for my birthday.

It was certainly a special day for me. Although some of the family and friends that were scheduled to attend did not make it, I felt their presence in spirit and enjoyed the day.

    Pleasanton Sunday Family Day

April 16 in the United States

We had a nice day for visiting with the family. Two of Suzi's granddaughters and three of the great grandchildren were able to make the visit. Missed seeing one more granddaughter and her three children because of illness.

Had a great time getting caught up on all of the activities of the family. Suzi taught the great granddaughters how to play a dice game called "Farkle". It is the kind of game that allows a lot of visiting and laughter.

Everyone left before the weather changed, a rain storm rolled in and cooled everything off. Low of 40 last night. Felt like we were back home with the rain and cold weather.

    Zurück nach Dublin

October 5 in the United States

Read more

    Pleasanton

October 2, 2017 in the United States

    April 5th The family arrives

April 15 in the United States

Marc, Pam and 4 of my grandkids arrived around 6:30 Thursday evening. We spent about an hour setting up their campsite and visiting, then all of us went over to Eric's site for dinner. We had clam chowder that Suzi had made fresh that day from clams we caught on our last trip to Long Beach.

I got a text from Robert and Aurora that they were about 1 hour out and were going to stop for dinner before rolling in. When I told them about Suzi's clam chowder, they decided to wait until they got to Las Vegas. The arrived around 8:30 and were finally set up and ready to eat around 9 PM.

We had a great time visiting. Marc, Pam and Kids went to bed early as they had spent the previous 24 hours driving straight through from Missouri. Rob said he certainly couldn't complain about his 8 1/2 hour drive after hearing that Marc drove straight through.

Robin and Jordan flew in Thursday night, but they did not get out to the Air Base until well after my bed time. As I started to nod off for the night, I realized that I had all four of my kids in the same place for the first time since 1986. I am truly blessed with an amazing family.

April 6th Friday before the party.

April 15 in the United States

Another busy day. Eric and I went to the Commissary to get the food for the party. It was not a cheap visit, but we made sure there was going to be plenty of food for everyone.

The rest of the day was spent visiting with family and getting caught up on everyone's comings and goings. We all gathered around Eric's campsite for an easy dinner of Burgers and Hot Dogs. It was a great family gathering and I enjoyed spending time with all of my kids.Read more

April 8 through 12 Final days in Vegas

April 15 in the United States

I woke up Sunday morning with a head cold and some chest congestion. It seems to be going around. Eric, Dawn, Logan and Kegan are also dealing with the same thing.

Sunday was a good day that started with the family gathering for French Toast, Sausage and Eggs breakfast, The morning was topped off with another birthday cake, This one was for my name sake, Marc's youngest boy, Timmy, whose birthday is April 21st. We wanted to celebrate early so the whole family could share in the celebration.

Robert and Aurora had to head home, as Robert had to work on Monday. A lot of time was spent with goodbyes all around.

The rest of the family spent the day with a variety of activities. Marc took his family to Sea Quest in Las Vegas. I begged off from the family time due to the heat and not wanting to leave Suzi alone in case she needed help with anything.

Marc brought back pizza for dinner, and well all gathered at the Motorhome to enjoy some more family time. Suzi managed to get up and dressed, although the pain was extreme and to spend some time with the family.

We said our goodbyes to Robin and Jordan as they were flying out the next day and we would not see them again before they left.

Monday was spent getting Marc packed up and on the road home. He was taking to the family to the Grand Canyon on the way. After Marc and family left, I helped Eric hook up his trailer as he was taking it back to storage. By the end of the day, it was just Suzi and I left in the park.

As neither of us were feeling very well, (Suzi came down with a cold also), we pretty much hibernated on Tuesday. We were scheduled to leave on Wednesday, but Mother Nature had other plans. High winds on Wednesday and Thursday kept us off the road and delayed our departure until Friday morning. Because of the high winds and high temps, we stayed hunkered down in air conditioned comfort for two more days.

    Pleasanton for the Weekend

April 15 in the United States

We drove from Bakersfield to Pleasanton on Saturday, getting on the road around 10 am. A couple of stops delayed our arrival and we did not get to the RV park until almost 5 PM. Suzi's grandkids and great grandkids were supposed to visit, but due to our delayed arrival, they decided to wait until Sunday morning to come and visit. The weather was cool Saturday night, with a low of 49, so I had to get up and turn on some heat about 4 am on Sunday morning.Read more
