Dennytown

My dear friends from Florida, Trey and Penny, were visiting grandkids in Beacon, NY, near the trail. True trail angels, they picked me up from a crossing, brought treats for other hikers, and spoiled me with a good dinner, time with their beautiful family, and a wonderful place to sleep. We said goodbye today at Lake Canopus, where I was able to swim and get BBQ for lunch. Being with Trey and Penny is pure joy; they are beautiful people ❤️

A day hiker told me today this area is the best section of entire trail, and he may be right. It was a beautiful walk, relatively flat😃, with several streams. Right now I am falling asleep to a very noisy Gray Catbird (according to my bird app). Life is good.Read more
