      Miraval spa!!

      March 14, 2016 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 22 °C

This place is absolutely amazing! I can't even put into words how great it is and how nice the staff is. My room is beyond amazing, and it smells like lavender! I took a walk around the place, and I don't even think I touched half of it. There are a ton of trails, which I plan on utilizing while I am here. There are 3 pools, all of which are super quiet. It is amazing how quiet this place is. I didn't pass one person on my walk and I love it. They have spots along the spa where you can sit and watch the birds, watch the waterfalls, or just sit by the quiet desert.

The only thing I don't like are the guests and I kinda expected it. A lot of old, rich, bitchy, women, who want the staff to basically throw rose petals wherever they go. You can tell who has been here before too, they request certain people or have a laundry list of treatments. Who cares, I'm here for me and I'm gonna do what I want.

Tonight there is a class on letting go and letting in, perfect for what I have been going through. I need this class to give me some insight on what to do with my life.

      Anyway, here are some pictures!

      Day one!

      March 14, 2016 in the United States ⋅ 🌙 21 °C

Well, today was the longest, but most amazing day. This place is magical, and I'm glad I came. I had my doubts, with the cost, some negative reviews I read, but this is just awesome. I missed the sunset because I was having a ridiculous dinner! But I got two more nights to catch it.

Can't wait to see what tomorrow brings!

      Day 2 so far.

      March 15, 2016 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 26 °C

So far today has been so great. I slept about 10 hours last night and was ready to go at 5:30 this morning. I started out by taking a walk around the complex to try and get a good shot of the sunrise, but it is much better in person.

I had a great breakfast, then it was time for the 2 mile fitness walk. It started out with a quarter mile walk to the path, which was basically rocks and all uphill. Then it took us to the paved path in the middle of the desert. It was such a great walk, complete with hills, twists, turns, etc. But the view, my lord if I had my camera, I would have taken a dozen pictures. I'm going to try and go up there to see the sunset, but if not I found a great spot right down from my room.

After the walk, it was time to chill and shop before water aerobics. Super expensive stuff, but I still got a souvenir.

Next up were aerobics and that was awesome. It was all boxing moves, jumps, running, and other fun things. I might be feeling it tomorrow.

Now, after getting some sun, I'm here chilling in my robe, eating my chocolate torte and not giving a shitttttttt lol.

Tonight is mastering makeup, which is what I need, then dinner, and sunset pictures!

      End of day 2

      March 15, 2016 in the United States ⋅ 🌙 21 °C

Well, another day has ended, and I'm already getting sad to leave. I had yet another fabulous dinner and was able to catch the sunset.

This trip has already made me think about my life and how different I need to be to reach happiness. There is no point in wasting energy and time on people who do not care about what is going on in your life. I have such a strong foundation of people that I know would drop anything to help me, and I would do just the same.

It still hurts though, when those people who you care about don't care about you, but I have learned ways to deal with it. I have already decided to make this an annual thing, I need to. I need the separation from my busy life and get grounded before I go crazy and forget who I am. The time and energy in working and making the money, I need to treat myself and realize that what I am doing is allowing me to experience these great things. I can't wait to bring my friends and husband here one day. I know they will enjoy it as much as I am.

Reflection is over, enjoy the pictures.

      Last day :(

      March 16, 2016 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 12 °C

Today is my last day here and I am not happy about it. I really wish I stayed a bit longer, but at least I know what to expect when I come back.

So this morning, I decided to take the hike to the walking trail I was at yesterday morning to get some sunrise pictures and a nice walk in. As I'm walking and enjoying the views, I stopped at an open area to watch the sunrise. Now, there are a lot of wildlife in this area, I saw a road runner, birds, and little gopher looking things. So I heard a rustling sound in the bush about 6 inches away from me, and I turn and out pops and fuckin coyote. We both looked at each other and I slowly moved away and he stared me down. I was like, yup, this is it, I came to miraval and will be attacked by a coyote.

I eventually got away and didn't see my furry friend, but it was definitely scary. Guess that's what you get in a desert lol.

But now, I give you some sunrise pictures and me waiting patiently for my day of pampering.
