      Oranges, Swimming and Disneyland!

      September 21 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 21 °C

We were all pretty excited about our Southern California home for 7 nights. Orangeland RV park had everything and more that you could ask for! Beautiful swimming pool, playground, gym, laundromat, fruit trees that you can pick from and not to mention it's close proximity to Disneyland! Our first day we did some home schooling and hung out at the pool! It felt like a vacation from everyday life on the road. We had to rest up for our first day at Disneyland! We hit up the park bright and early on Monday morning. We had some fun comparing the California park to it's Florida location. The biggest difference is the castle size! Sleeping Beauty castle in CA definitely doesn't stack up but you are able to go in the castle and see an interactive story of it's sleeping princess. We went on lots of rides and stayed until close!
On the 24th we decided to head into LA to check out some sites. The only thing we really saw was traffic. It took us twice as long as it should to get into the city. We managed to do a bit of a driving audio tour and headed towards Beverly Hills to check out some celeb homes. We saw a couple before we decided just to head back as traffic was preventing us from getting where we wanted to go.
On the 25th we celebrated our anniversary at Disney's California Adventure park. This park is a unique experience that we enjoyed for the first time. DCA has Pixar Pier, home to William's favourite ride-The Incredicoaster. We had a great dinner at an Italian restaurant overlooking the lights of Pixar Pier. We ended the day with the most popular ride, Radiator Springs. It felt nostalgic getting immersed in the land of Cars! It took us back to the days when the boys loved "Lighting McKeen" as William called him.
On our last Disney day we hung out at the campground for the morning and took the ART bus into the park after lunch. We opted to purchase Genie Plus on our last day to skip some of the lines. We fast tracked the line on some new rides and some favourites that we already did. William finally picked out his souvenir in Galaxy's Edge and we ate lunch at Docking Bay which made us feel like we were in Star Wars! We ended the night with the nighttime spectacular Fantasmic! This was like no other show that we've seen at the parks. We were right in front of the stage which was on the Rivers of America. There was fireworks, lasers, and even fire!! At the end of the show the steamboat floats by packed with every Disney character you could imagine. It was indeed a spectacular show!
