Letzter Halt unserer Florida-Reise. Da das Motel nah am Strand liegt konnten wir wunderbar zu Fuss die Gegend erkunden und den Sonnenaufgang erleben.

Die zwei Tage hier verbrachten wir nochmals am Strand aber auch mit Einkaufen. Die riesige Shopping Mall "Sawgrass Mills" mit 350 Geschäften hat 12 Stunden am Tag geöffnet, was dann auch knapp gereicht hat.Read more

Getting closer!

Thank you, Rich, for the pre-dawn drop off at CLT. And thanks for making sure we had our passports! We made it to FLL with plenty of time to visit Jim’s favorite restaurant for an Italian lunch. We checked into the Westin and Bonvoy Besson managed to get an oceanfront upgrade. The Viking Neptune should be waiting for us at Port Everglades in the morning. It’s currently off the coast of Cuba on its last sea day from Barcelona.
We were still up at 3 this morning, so I am guessing tonight will be an early one and then we’ll be off to meet our new neighbors bright and early.Read more

All Aboard! Embarkation day.

The sail out was both exhilarating and scary. Will this trip of a lifetime live up to our expectation? Will we be sea sick? Will we miss the ship and get left behind at port? Will we make friends? Will we still be friends? Will we gain 50 pounds? Have a medical emergency? Miss home and our girls and friends terribly? Will we have to leave the ship early for some emergency at home?
